Amiwest is the premier Amiga-focused show in North America. Amiwest has provided a haven for like-minded individuals to come and celebrate all things in the Amiverse: Commodore Amiga's, Emulation, Aros, AmigaOS 4, and MorphOS . The show has become a yearly event in the community, with many new product announcements and introductions expected. Over the years, the show has seen Amiga companies come and go. Our goal has to be to create an environment for the community to come together and share ideas and AAA good times through it all.

Rob Gemmell
He is an award-winning industrial designer and former creative director with Apple, Amiga, and then back to Apple. As Director of Product Design for Commodore Amiga, he helped define the look and feel of the Commodore Amiga 500. He also led the efforts on several unreleased Amiga designs.

He's an entrepreneur in retail, social media, consumer tech, and ag tech, and has also been a consultant or advisor to dozens of rapidly growing brands and businesses, from Silicon Valley startups to big ones like Sony and Google.

Rob had the privilege of working with and learning from George Lucas's talented Star Wars special effects unit, and later from Steve Jobs and his innovative team at Apple. Over the past 35 years, he's built on that thinking and those practices in his own startups and while working with over 200 clients. In fact, he's working on another start-up right now!

AI Panel

Join us Sunday morning at AmiWest 2026 to take a deep dive into AI coding for the Amiga Computer. This session aims to help AmiWest attendees and folks watching around the world leverage AI tools to create for their favorite platform.

To get the most out of this session, please bring a laptop (Linux, Mac, or Windows), a virtualized version of your favorite Amiga platform, an AI service or a local LLM, and your ideas. The workshop will focus on getting everyone set up with an AI-powered development environment. Don’t worry; if you are not able to get everything set up beforehand, we will help folks get the entire environment going.

The workshop will be hosted by three people: Chris Collins, Stefan Reinauer, and Bill Borsari.

Chris Collins
Chris Collins
Chris is a professional developer and has built several tools for both OS 3 and OS 4, including an MCP for Amiga,DevBench.

Stefan carries the Amiga spirit forward in projects like coreboot and ChromeOS, but also discovered his hardware side during the pandemic.
